$ trust-the.store connect --platform shopify
Connect Shopify
Read-only orders (read_orders, read_all_orders). No customers, no products, no write access.
Before you start
- Owner or staff access with permission to develop apps.
- Your *.myshopify.com domain (Settings → Domains).
Steps · about 3 min
- Fastest: on the Add shop page pick Shopify, enter your *.myshopify.com domain and click “Connect with Shopify”. Approve the read-only scopes. Done.
- No button? Create a custom app: Shopify admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps → Create an app.
- Configuration → Admin API scopes: tick read_orders and read_all_orders only. Optional: read_shopify_payments_payouts for verified fees and payouts.
- Install the app, then reveal the Admin API access token (starts with shpat_). Shopify shows it once: copy it.
- Paste the domain and the token in Trust the Store. The first sync imports up to 2 years of history.
What you paste in Trust the Store
- Store domain

Troubleshooting
Enter your *.myshopify.com domain
Use the permanent myshopify.com domain, not your custom domain (Settings → Domains lists it).
Shopify: … The token needs read_orders.
Edit the app's Admin API scopes, add read_orders (and read_all_orders), then reinstall and copy the new token.
History stops at 60 days
Add read_all_orders. Shopify only exposes older orders with that scope.

The store must be publicly reachable over HTTPS. Check the URL, and that no firewall or maintenance mode blocks API requests.
